A small roof garden was designed for a residential building in Porto Alegre, Brazil. The preexisting space had no equipment or furniture and was only seldomly used. The goal of intervention was to transform this space into a community garden and flexible use area for residents. Given the limited space of only 360sqf, the project creates a sunny and a shaded area encircled by fruit trees and herbs. The entire structure consists of modular metallic planters that were pre-fabricated and assembled in place. The wood flooring and the planter's stone cladding enhance the space's tactile experience, creating a warm and welcoming outdoor space.
